1992 Toyota Celica GT review from North America
"Its well made, reliable and fun"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The right Front Rowdier needed to be replaced; However, that is probably the way I drive it, it glides and has such power that sometimes I forget my speed and hit bumps rather hard.
The Timing belt required changing which is routine maintains.
The Fan continuously ran when the engine was on, all this required was for the wire to be replaced.
General comments?
I love my Celica.
It rides like a dream, the handling is better then any Camaro I have ever driven.
Its wide, low ride allows you to take corners at high speeds, you feel part of the road.
The interior is comfortable, and the curved dash allows an easy reach for the Driver.
I have the Hatch back and you wouldn't believe what can fit in the back.
I get great gas mileage, and other than a little rust around the wheels the paint looks as if it came off the show room floor, with no fading after eleven years.
The appearance is aerodynamic and sporty, which is why I bought it in the first place. The Celica has a unique style that makes it easily
recognizable when walking in a parking lot full of automobiles that look the same.
I also love the pop-up lights, which I have never had a problem with.
It is reliable at 120,000 miles it sounds just as good as it did when I first brought it home.
This is not unique either, everyone that I know who has one feels the same way.
The only thing I would wish for is that that Toyota would go back to the 92 style Celica so I could buy a new car.
