1980 Toyota Celica GT review from North America

Not much has went wrong with the car.

Break Light Bulb around 70,000.

Master Cylinder around 120,000 (good thing for the e-brake)

The paint was bad because of the salt on the roads, got it repainted around 170,000 miles.

Replaced Fuel Pump at 85,000 miles.

Water pump at 110,000.

Replaced clutch at 150,000 (didn't really need it)

Besides that, just changed the oil every 3,000 miles and new brakes, tires, and clutch fluid.

First of all my car isn't completely stock. I did some modifications a few years after I got it. I put a higher performance exhaust on it, headers, cold air intake, and a peltier. But even without those, the car has a lot of torque, is a very quick and agile 1/8 runner. I never raced anybody when it was in stock form, but with the less than $450 I put in it for performance parts, I've beaten new Civic Si's, Integra GSRs, V6 Mustangs and Camaros, and even my nephews Neon which has some serious mods done to it. Only thing that I've lost to are V8 Firebirds, Mach 1 Stang, and BMW 5 series.

There is no power steering, but you get use to it.

I wouldn't mind an air conditioner.

The front seats are real comfortable, only children can fit in the back seats though.

Wish there was a mirror on the right side.
