2000 Toyota Celica GT from North America - Comments

"I absolutely love this car! :-)"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Passenger side headlight retains moisture; however, I bought the car this way. Headlight assembly would need to be replaced = $500. I noticed on other cars that I had looked at, this seems to be a problem.

General comments?

I fell in love with the exterior looks of this car... it is BEAUTIFUL!

The interior is well appointed and I find the seating, controls, and instrument panel layout very comfortable.

I did not purchase this car to race it - just to drive in high style! I am not disappointed! The car receives admiring glances/looks wherever I go. The car was 5 physical years old (built in 12/99 and purchased in 11/04) when I bought it and everyone thought it was brand spanking new! Paint shines even when dirty (I have it washed every Friday!).

Car drives and handles like a dream! Ride is smooth and relaxing! Revs high when it is cold out (it is currently -13 in Illinois right now), but the engine and cabin warm quickly and then the car purrs like a kitten. Corners on a dime and the car's handling is inspiring and ensures confidence.

Performed well in light snow even though the tires need to be replaced soon (5/32 tread left!).

Even with gas prices currently close to $2/gallon, I can fill my tank for less than $25 and I get approximately 400 miles to a tank of gas.

I would highly recommend this car to anyone and everyone!

GT model? you sure? If you got a 1.8 LTR engine, it aint GT..Gt's have 2.2liter.

I have a GT 2.2 Manual and love it.. convertible 1995..same exact model as yours.. enjoy it!

I love this car! In 2006 I bought a '99 Celica GT convertible on eBay. My husband thought I was crazy until he saw it... mint condition, well maintained and tight handling.

Hey, I'm looking to but one of these cars, and would like to know if they had any problems? Coming from Toyota, I probably think no, but still want to know.
