1987 Toyota Celica GT review from North America

Coolant/transmission fluid is getting into the engine and white smoke appeared when I was stopped at a stop sign on a hill once and tried to start in the wrong gear. Have not had the car long, but no other problems whatsoever.

I love this car.

The one problem it's had has been a bit of a pain because I'm sixteen and female (and therefore had to take it in for repair after I managed to scrape together repair money) but I probably could have driven the car around while the problem was there with little issue. It took out my spark plugs which made start up sound bad, but otherwise ran well even so.

This thing handles wonderfully. I learned to drive on my mother's 1998 Honda Civic and the handling is definitely way better.

The engine has a tad less pep than my mom's civic, but I have managed to beat the one time my mom and I raced when on the express way. This car is a bullet.

This car stands up to pounding very well. The previous owner took car of this car very well, and that has a lot to do with it I'm sure, but this car withstood my learning how to drive a stick shift on it remarkably. I doubt my father's newer Ford would have stood up so well to my misshifts.

Very comfortable car. The seats are great. Might be a bit worse large guys though. I'm 5'6" and 115lbs.

This car is amazingly reliable, powerful and just fun to drive. Moreover, I've not done anything special to my engine and have beat out many friends racing.
