Upholstery snags.
Quick enough, excellent handling.
This car could use a sixth gear.
A telescoping steering wheel would be great!
I would love to know how this car handles in the snow. If anyone has ever driven one of these during the winter, please let me know how they handle. I may purchase a 2003 and I will not be able to have a second car just for winter driving. Thank you very much.
I'm not sure whether all Celicas are front wheel drive, but some of them I know for a fact are. Front wheel drive cars are mostly what you are looking for in a snowy or icy environment, due to it pulling your car from the front, rather than pushing from the back. It is much easier to handle the car this way in slick environments.
If you are looking for an answer as to how the Celica performs in extreme temperatures and conditions, I can't really help you.
Sorry, but I hope it helps. This is all the info I have...
I have a 2001 Celica GT and it handles great in the snow.
I live near Lake Tahoe and drive into Reno Nevada daily... 110 miles a day round trip.
The car has 137,000 miles and still gets an average of 37mpg.
I have never (*knock on wood) had to put chains on this car and have driven in plenty of snow. Make sure you have good tires and drive it slowly in icy conditions, it will break loose and spin. I would prefer to drive in a little snow vs. freshly plowed roads.
