2000 Toyota Celica GT-S review from North America
"Excellent styling - enjoyable to drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No major complaints so far. I have noticed that the engine seems to undergo a sluggish hesitation sometimes when first starting out. Toyota assures me that the car is performing at specification so for now I will ignore this unless it worsens.
General comments?
Excellent styling and fit/finish. The car has been enjoyable to drive. I've had more positive comments about this car than any other one I've ever owned. People who don't even know me comment on how wonderful they think it looks! =)
It's comfortable to drive on short or intermediate trips, but as expected with a sports coupe.. better left at home on trips > 300 miles.
The power band produced by the variably timed engine is a bit high for city driving (6,000 rpm is the magic number).
