1988 Toyota Celica GT-i review from Lithuania
"Special nice car... Toyota rules.."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Just after buying it, I noticed that there is a leak from the cooling system, so had to change the cooler pump (250Euro) and then, I made the Geometry for the wheels.
Few months later, the alarm system had some problems.
At 278000 I had to review the traction system, made some changes even it wasn't so necessary... costs about 250Euro
later, recently, time belt changed and some parts of wheels supporting set (rubbers).
General comments?
A very nice car, it likes to cruse on the motorways for almost 5-6L/100km! at 160km/h.
Max speed I reached was 230km/h and the car was stable as waiting for more.
For long distance, it seems to be not so comfort! getting tired of the low level seat..
One bad thing I can tell about this car, that the service costs a lot! even though that you don't need a lot to pay visits, but when you have, it costs!!!
Very reliable car, I remember I once had to drive 2900km without stop and with engine working all the time... and everything OK!
