General comments?
I bought this little gem from a dealer. I have only one regret. They only had one to sell and I could only afford one!!!
With the 5 speed manual transmission it is a peppy little car with great gas mileage. Even now after 260,000 miles it still gets over 32 MPG.
This car was in an accident where my passenger and I were airborne and landed 12 feet from where it took off. Luckily it landed on all four tires at the same time and slid against a tree. We were wearing our seat belts and walked away without a scratch. I took the maximum amount of dollars my insurance company would pay me and put in the rest to have it fixed. That was 100,000 miles ago and it still is a solid little ride.
I am about to replace the clutch as it is finally starting to go. Not bad, 170,000 miles out of a clutch. It even may be original for all I know.
I am on my 3rd windshield due to road pitting from highway driving in New England. The winter road treatments sand blast the glass quite easily.
