Poor retracting seatbelts.

Poor brakes.

Poor dealer service.

Poor custmer relations with head office.

Expensive parts.

Poor acceleration.

General comments?

Doesn't seem to be too much problem!!

11 or twelve years - a bit of rust - Was it the 1.6 L engine Automatic!

Well you didn't expect the acceleration of a Corvette - It is a low powered machine and you got it Automatic.

I would say that if these were the things that went wrong - You had a hell of a deal!

The associated problems you encountered seem normal maintenance items. Some things just wear out, brakes etc.

Take into consideration that it is a cheap 12 year (model year) old car... what do you expect? And for it to run to 200000! Most American cars die around 100000 for that matter... and I don't know why it costs you so much to run it. Great gas mileage, few repairs (at least for me, I have a 90 sr-5 with 110000 miles).

I have to agree that you have had a great car there, I have 3 old toyota's and a 2001 VW and I tell you, the way it's going with the VW I will be switching it to Toyota soon!...perhaps a Corolla or a Camry :-)

I made my toyota corolla 90' a racing car man I think it has a sports or racing engine it has a great power, but a bad thing is it does'nt have ABS, but every thing is GREAT especially when you put 17' rims on it and drop it 2' and that's an american version corolla.
