2009 Toyota Corolla GLi review from Venezuela
"Great little ninja!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The air conditioning condenser failed at 2.120km. Apparently this was due to a defect in the material for manufacturing the condenser. Dealer fixed it under warranty in one day.
General comments?
The car is very quiet while cruising, despite my local country roads and highways having many irregularities.
Power is OK, but compared to my previous car (Astra 2.2 petrol), I feel it lacks power.
Standard equipment is abundant. My car has Optitron gauges, HID beams, front fog lights, rear spoiler, leather seats, dual airbags, digital air conditioning, 16" wheels wrapped in Bridgestone V rated tires and ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution).
To increase the horsepower output, I added a K&N filter so the engine could breathe a little better.
Handling is probably the worse thing in this car. Understeer in tight corners is tremendous, and doesn't invite you to take the car to its limits.
Braking is pretty good actually, although the front disc diameter is minor compared to my previous Astra.
