1984 Toyota Corolla review from North America
"Perfect in comfort; flawless in performance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator was replaced at 290,000 miles.
A couple of water pumps have been replaced.
Rust has been removed and several body panels have been replaced.
The rest are miscellaneous small things.
General comments?
The engine, automatic transmission, and air conditioner are original.
The vehicle resists aging and I still encounter strangers - either rather young or rather old - who think the vehicle is new.
The lines are timeless.
The driver's seat is the most comfortable I have encountered.
Road feel is excellent; engine - quiet.
The vehicle runs smoothly and remains one of the great pleasures of life. I currently have 405,000+ miles on the vehicle and hope that my great grandchildren or grandnieces or grandnephews will have the opportunity to enjoy this exquisite machine.
