Most accounts suggest that the UK built Corolla is somewhat lacking in build quality. I can attest the Japanese ones are built like bank vaults.
I agree. Mine has had to have a new gear box after just 30k miles, and still has a wierd, almost high pitch growl when accelerating on certain roads. As far as I can ascertain it isn't tyre noise either. A load of rubbish and wouldn't buy another one.
