When Toyota alarm was fitted by Dealer, 1 month after owning the vehicle (alarm was not released until after I purchased the car) CD console did not resit flush (alarm sits behind console) Took back to dealer 4 times before it was sorted out (had to have a new dash due to damage by dealer.
Arm rest fabric worn out within first 600 miles (replaced by dealer)
Trim around cigarette lighter came loose (I don't even smoke). Replaced by dealer after 2000 miles.
Condensation in rear passenger light after 3 months of owning it. Dealer replaced lamp.
Front Brakes squealed (after 40 miles) Copper grease applied by dealer. Brakes squealed again after 5000 miles. Dealer had to fit brake modifications during first service 5800 miles)
Excellent car and even with the trips back to the dealer, I would definitely buy another one.
For a 1.4 car this is fully equipped with all the mod cons including climate control, CD player, electric sunroof and mirrors.
Excellent ride quality and the car is totally reliable, just like my previous 1993 corolla.
Has minor interior problems includes rattling, which Toyota really do need to address if they want to compete with VW.
Yiu should have gone for a
Honda Civic
it's a better car altogether
we looked at the corolla before
buy a range topper
1.6 se exec civic with std leather
nothing has gone wrong
has full alarm and no trim problems.
Toyotas are far better cars than VW. VW seem to have lost the plot quality and reliability wise, just look at the reviews for the newer VW's on this site! VW's slogan used to be "if only everything in life was as reliable as a Volkswagen"- no wonder they don't use that anymore!
