The car handles well and has decent acceleration.
Finding the footrest that they have put in the drivers side a little annoying, but when spoke to the dealer it cannot be removed as something is underneath it, but getting used to it now.
Nice Fit and Finish throughout the vehicle.
I agree with you about the annoying foot rest which is just in the way. The design of the driver's seat is annoying in general - no leg room for tall people and if you put the seat all the way back, the steering wheel and dash controls are too far to reach easily. Very awkward.
I find rear visibility is poor due to the high trunk and wide pillars.
I agree that the fit and finish are beautiful. It's compared to a luxury car and that is what I will miss when I have to choose another car with cheaper fit and finish in order to get one without the Corolla's flaws. Because really, the cloth on the seats and inside doors is not as important as having a car you feel comfortable driving.
