1990 Toyota Corolla LE review from North America
"The unstoppable chick magnet four door tank"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Currently the lights have a mind of their own. When I press my brake, all of the interior and parking lights come on. Also, when I have my headlights on, all of my brake lights stay on whether I am pressing the brake or not. At least I'm not going to get pulled over for a brake light being out eh?
Also one of the rear windows makes a horrible screeching sound when rolling it up or down. My brother has a 1997 Corolla and his does the same.
Other than routine maintenance such as new timing belt and brakes, nothing has gone wrong.
General comments?
The corolla is a friggin' tank. Nothing can stop it. It has been in at least two wrecks that we know of and it still runs like a champ. It was rear ended twice. The first time we fixed it and the second I didn't bother because it wouldn't make that big of a difference in the resale value. So I just took the money and went to Vegas.
As for performance, I drive like a 78 year old woman so I don't really care about that. But sometimes I do wish I had my '89 Celica back.

| 1989 - Corolla AWD Wagon not sure, 1.6 Liter? I LOVE THIS CAR and when I look at new ones, I cringe at the thought of how cheaply made they seem! |
