1987 Toyota Corolla SR5 review from North America
"Well made and reliable car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had to replace timing belt.
Had to replace plastic radiator with metal one.
General comments?
Very good gas mileage.
Nice informative dash.
Very good and tight 5 speed manual.
Handles exceptionally well on the highway.
Steering wheel is better than most cars of this era.
Seems to come alive at over 3000 rpm.
Love the carburetor instead of fuel injection.
Very easy to work on and tune up.
Wish the bucket seats were a bit more comfortable.
Like the folding rear seats which allow more cargo space.
Without doubt a very reliable car.
