1986 Toyota Corolla FX-GT review from Australia and New Zealand

Timing belt replaced.

A few tires here and there.

Drivers seat collapsed.

Exhaust replaced, but it is A 1986.

Rev it like you hate it and she stands there and says OK you girl I need some exercise.

Great for going 4wd if your co pilot is drunk and you get lost while out rally driving.

Jam on the hand brake and it drags the back wheels along the road locked up with the front driving wheels (yes both front wheels) spewing more smoke than bob Marley.

After 4 years of ownership and one oil change and it gets abused everyday in every gear so budget minded or non car minded people who think E means enough on the fuel Gage and red in the engine temp means the inside cabin temperature don't need worry, just throw some petrol in it and cart your drunk friends around on the weekends.

Parts are cheap and do not buy Japanese parts Taiwanese are just as good and about quarter the price.

The car salesman I brought this off has had four of them and says the early very light weight models are the best.

This is only going on front wheel drive models as rear wheel drive models are rare in New Zealand.

The point I'm trying to make is these twin cam engines are as good as the other posts here say they are.

Points out of ten I give these cars A nine and a half If I was to replace it it would be a bus pass and a lot of beer for the trip.
