1995 Toyota Corolla DX review from North America

I just bought the car for my wife. She had a 1996 Corolla SD with an automatic, 1.6 and no air. We bought it in 1999. She got hit by a fella who didn't see a red light. It was ruined. My wife was OK. The car held up well and I'd have to say these are safe cars. At the original purchase it has 60,000kms, at time of accident in 2006 it had 123,000kms. What did I fix on the car? Nothing, not a thing. Did I get tunes ups? No. Did I change the oil in it? Maybe two or three times, I can't remember. Did it ever stall or conk out? Never. Was I ever frustrated with the car? No.

We paid $10,900 for it in 1999. We got $7250 for insurance.

So I bought my wife a 1995 Corolla DX for $6250 with auto and air and 155,000kms.

It was really tough finding a minty Corolla, but I did. I want to comment on what I did see out there. I saw many Corolla's for sale with 200,000 300,000 and 400,000kms on them. Wow, the little cars just go and go. So when I found the 1995 DX with 155,000kms, I bought it.

My wife and I love these cars. They don't break and you don't have to take care of them. If the car has gas and oil, your set to go anywhere you want. Be it to work or on a 5000km trip.

Oh, I just about forgot, they are really good on gas and have really good heaters and air conditioners.
