1998 Toyota Corolla LX review from North America

-third brake light went out at 92,000 miles

-brake calipers replaced at 92,000 miles.

-Handles great

-very peppy as soon as you hit 3,500RPM

-seats comfortable, seats need more side bolstering

- CD PLAYER IN WORST PLACE EVER, I suggest an after-market CD player.

-sits nice and low, bit anoying becasue I do scrap on some speed bumps unless I go over them sideways.

-looks great with aftermarket 15" rims

-really relable

-surprisingly strong. I hit a curb at 15MPH on the front drivers side tire and then I went through some small bushs (it was icy, and it didn't have the ABS). No damage at all. NONE. expect for the small branchs and stuff caught up in the bumper. I talked to the owner of the property and they said that I was lucky their son spun out on the road (as they point to his ford ranger) and went on their lawn. the snow was covering up the marks on the lawn. and I sugested to them that they should put a sign up next to the turn that says " black ice ahead" becasue I didn't see the ice all the snow is on the side of the road. but in the end they where cool about it, even offerd me a coke.

-overall good car, great reliability.

- surpringsly fast

- needs factory fog-lights or a good place to mount them.

-great first car though

-relable

- gets EXELANT gas millage, 25-hot-roding it around 28 city, 32 highway.

- gas door/ trunk levers seem flimsy, I'm afraid ill break it one day.
