1974 Toyota Corona review from North America

"Best car in the world I'm buying a 76 today"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I bought the car off a buddy for 50 bux.

One of the rear windows was smashed out with I fixed with about 10 layers of duct tape and a piece of cardboard.

The ignition was smashed out and replaced with a universal key hole that I started with a screw driver.

The starter was not working but we hit it with a hammer and wiggled the wires and it seemed to fix it.

The battery wires were freyed.

It was full of garbage.

Haddent been drivin in probly 10 years.

The body was rusted to hell and half was the origonal pale yellow and half primer grey.

General comments?

I've owned many cars over my driving years and this is by far the most fun and one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned...

I beat the hell out of this car I never registered it I just took it out on gravel roads and rally drove the piss out of it.

I would come to a turn and insted of slowing down I would drop the automatic into 1st and hammer the gas and take all my turns sideways if I hit the ditch that just meant hammer on the gas and keep goin...

Once I got this car to running standards the only problyin I ever had with it was the started needed to be hit a few times and I blew a tire witch I replace with a studded winter tire that chewed up the ditches even better.

The car was eventually stolen from me by the guy that I bought it from and I think he took it to the junk yard for 50 bux and I had no bill of sale so there was nothing I could do... BUT I found a 76 just last night for $150 and it has a v6 I can't wait to buy it this week.
