1987 Toyota Cressida GLX review from Australia and New Zealand
"A great reliable car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The things that have gone wrong with the car is that the power steering hose started to leak at about 383000 kilometers.
Another thing that went wrong is that the heater hose tap cracked and started leaking coolant at about 383000.
General comments?
Overall this is a great car it had its full and first engine rebuild at 382000 kilometers and there have been no major problems with the engine or transmission.
The car is rather fuel efficient giving an average 430 kilometers per 50 liters od petrol.
The parts on this car are rather expensive second hand and you can only buy them from certain wreckers. However not many mechanical things seem to go wrong even when the previous owners had the car.
Before buying a Cressida check for a blown head gasket. That seems to be the only major problem with the car.
The interior in my car is immaculate. the interior is blue without a stain or any signs of fading.
I plan on keeping this car for many more years.
