1982 Toyota Cressida Darwin from Australia and New Zealand - Comments

"Best car I have and will ever own. Unbelievable"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Alternator blew because of a leaking powersteering pump.

Powersteering pump replaced.

Rear shockers replaced.

General comments?

Performance is awesome for the age of the car.

Handling is also very good.

The Cressida is still in prestine condition.

I recommend this car for first or second car buyers.

Uh, how would a leaking power steering pump cause the alternator to "blow"?

And what is "prestine" condition anyway?

I would suggest the leaking power steering pump was leaking directly onto the alternator causing it to fail. Is this correct?

Fantastic car! Highly recommend!

Power steering fluid is corrosive, if it leaks into the alternator it would eat away at the windings.
