1990 Toyota Cressida review from North America
"Stands the test of time"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electric antenna stopped working and I had to put a cheap one on to get reception.
The chrome on the wheels has started to chip off very badly, it makes the car look worn out.
The steering wheel leather has started to crack and wear out.
General comments?
My dad gave me this car in 2002 when I went to college. It had about 150k miles on it and had sat in the garage for a few years. I cleaned it up and brought it back to life. The car looks like new and runs better than any of our other cars, even with the high miles.
My friends at school are always curious about the car since Toyota hasn't made them in over 15 years.
I am still VERY impressed with my Cressida!! It runs quiet, gets good gas mileage, is very powerful, and has lots of extra features.
I have not had any problems with it at all. It starts up every time and can go across the country effortlessly.
It now has 193k miles on it and I can't wait until it goes to 200k.
