2000 Toyota ECHO NCP13 review from Australia and New Zealand
"Reliable, cheap good buy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Central locking on rear driver door sometimes don't work. otherwise, I have had no other problems with the car.
General comments?
The car is sluggish and you have to push it hard to get it up a slope. in high wind area, you can feel that the wind is blowing against the car. handling is average and it struggle a little at high speeds of greater than 100km/hours.
Very plastic interior and doors feels like a tin can. front bumper grilles feel very plastic and fragile. engine bay is well laid and provides good access. factory stereo is below average. stock gear shift is average, but definitely not sporty. digital tacho is an interesting and good feature. love the digital speedo.
Very economical car which is a major advantage. will never ever buy another car more than 3.0litres. great feeling of leaving the petrol station spending only $20 on petrol every 2 weeks.
