Driveline Drive shaft bounce appeared at 9000 miles and got worse. Toyota thought it was a tire problem/then a dirveshaft problem/replaced drive shaft and tires OK for a while. Now it is starting to bounce again.
My Mechanic has determined the Caster is off on the Right front wheel thus Three wheels are 'pushing' the car and one is being "pulled". A mis indexed part on the Frame? Not Fixable with out welding and repositioning of lower control arm.
I have heard of other occasional 1st year Highlander's with this trouble (v6) and only I could get a Lemon in a Toyota. So far the dealer has been better than average in helping, but I suspect it will be replaced under my states Lemon Law,,,, Yes, I'll get another Highlander. Otherwise it is fine 'truck'.
There was no Highlander made in 2000--this review is a farce.
The 2001 Highlander was made in 2000, and YES, Toyota builds LOTS of lemons. Just look at the other Highlander reviews and comments, as well as the Camry reviews.
