1981 Toyota Long bed pick-up SR-5 review from North America
"The most reliable vehicle I have owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The transmission has been rebuilt twice in 20 years.
General comments?
This little truck has taken me many places that I probably would not have gone to in another vehicle over the 20 years I have owned it. I have religously changed the oil every 5000
miles. I had to replace the a/c evaporator about 11 years ago. It has
factory air that blows very cold. I think I am way past the point of ever selling it. I just picked up an extra w50 5 speed box for $65.00 and put it
in. I had a problem on the old one with it kicking out of fourth gear. I will baby this one.
