1984 Toyota Long bed pick-up Pickup 3/4 ton longbed review from North America
"Economical and very reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch replaced 77,000
transmission bearings 186,000
2 water pumps
3 starters
3 alternators.
General comments?
Stiff ride, but will actually carry the 1,500 lbs. claimed. Have carried over 2,000 lbs. Towing capacity is unknown, but will tow 2,000 lbs. but not well up grades. The standard carburated 22R is said to have 108 hp stock. The long bed will carry three dirt bikes easily. Overall a very economical, reliable package that is performing fairly well after 20 years of use. Original purchase price was $7,300.00 new.
