2000 Toyota Matrix LGX review from Indonesia
"Hazzle free"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel consumption is high, 7-8 km/l for city driving and 9-10 km/l for highway driving.
Engine sound is relatively loud and rough.
General comments?
This MPV is very reliable and can be used for off-road driving also.
You cannot expect the car to be very comfortable as it still uses a chassis instead of a monocoque body.
The engine runs at high RPM to achieve a speed of 100 km/l.
The engine technology is very old (back to 1970s) with OHC technology (no VVTi or even DOHC).
Maintenance is very simple, almost all small repair shop can fix your problems.
Resale value is very very good, one of the best in Indonesia.
If you maintain this car regularly you will be hassle free.
