1986 Toyota MR2 review from UK and Ireland
"Great but buy a good one!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New clutch fitted.
Changed cam belt.
Rebuilt gearbox.
Replaced light switch.
General comments?
I bought this car for £1100 so I knew it
would need some work, and overall I'm very impressed. It drives brillantly and the engine is a work of genius. It's the most fun car I have ever driven and even though it doesn`t have much luggage space, it is fine for everyday use.
My only criticism is that on long journeys the engine note can be irritating because of the close ratio gears. I would advise anyone who is buying one to spend as much as they can and to make sure it's a good one as repairs are very expensive.
