1986 Toyota MR2 review from North America
"Excellent performance and good on gas"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well I haven't had any problems yet except that the tranny check light comes on when I shift into 3rd sometimes but hardly ever.
Had to grind and polyfill down some of the body rust around the wheel wells and on the front of the car. Had to repaint it black and it looks good!
Also I redid the leather seats cause they were torn and worn.
General comments?
Well so far I've had this car for 2 months and I love it very much. I only paid $2100 CDN for it! And the body was a bit rusted, but not too bad at all because it was stored in winters. Although I've been driving it in the winter time and I know I shouldn't, so I only drive on clear sunny days.
I love the handling, but the acceleration could be a bit better, but I guess that's what the supercharged model is for.
All in all it's good on gas and is really fun to drive. A true sportscar!
