1992 Toyota MR2 N/A T-Bar review from North America
"Try it you like it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car eats rear tires.
Electrohydraulic steering shortens alternator life.
Alternator replaced at 73000 miles.
It is a bit too light for rain slick
and greasy or polished roads without good rain sweeping tires in front.
General comments?
Excellent Car.
Wish for:
Carbon Fiber Hood
Carbon Fiber Engine Cover
Carbon Fiber Trunk Lid
In dash GPS replaces radio
Taller 5th gear or 6 speed for
higher gas mileage when cruising and lower engine revolutions at 75 mph.
Turbo Model Brake Calipers on Non Turbo
model.
Very Bright High Wattage Reverse Lamps.
Needs a Rear window blind or tinting mechanism for driving at night.
Truck Headlamps are a bother due to low ride hide.
Very good Mid Engined car for the money.
Relatively Inexpensive to rebuild to practically new.
If you are into getting miles for the money it can be rebuilt recycled for around $4500.00 @ 200000 miles. Assuming you keep the paint in good condition.
