1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo review from North America

Normal stuff that all 97,000 mile cars have. Spark plugs, wires, etc.

The only real bad thing I had to buy was a new turbo at 80,000. Toyota wants around $2000 for a new ct-26 (Stock Turbo) @ 200HP. Lucky for me the MR2 has a huge fan following!!!! I was able to get a used HKS Turbo that puts out 365HP!! for only $700.

Car looks brand new still, and I love it to this day.

This is the best, sports car for your buck. I have owned a lot of cars (Miata, RX7 TT, 300ZX TT, Corvette, others) and this has been the best!

Performance 10 because right out of the box you have a 0-60 in 5.9 sec!! Then there is a huge, huge after market for this car right now! Much more than any of the other cars out there.

The looks turn heads at every light. I have someone telling me what a great looking car it is almost every week. There is also a huge amount of body kits out there for every part of the car!!

As above, parts and labor cost a bit more than a normal car (Mid engine), but hey if you never have to buy parts who cares!!

There are not a lot of cars out there today that you can just go out to the track and race with, but with the MR2 Turbo you can, and do well.

I now have had 4 friends after driving my car go out and buy one the next week. They are rare and very hard to find so it may take you a bit to find one in good shape. So go out find a MR2 with around 90,000 or less miles in good shape and have the drive of your life. I did!
