"Point to point go kart"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Head gasket went after a year.

Wheels became buckled.

Back to front cooling pipes needed replacing.

New radiator.

General comments?

Over the last two years this car has been seriously modified! She is running a gt28 ball bearing turbo, Motec ECU, forged pistons and con rods, metal head gasket, larger throttle body, uprated intercooler, 850cc injectors, high flow fuel pump, water injection kit with 50/50 methanol mix, sus blitz air filter, fuel pressure regulator, and runs on about 1.5 bar of boost producing about 375 - 400 horse power.

She also has adjustable koni shocks all round with 40mm lowering springs, strut bars back and front, TRD anti rolls bars, poly bushes, braided brake hoses, sport pads all round, findanza fly wheel and helix clutch.

The car is pretty quick off the mark, 0-60 must be in the 4 second zone, and the handling is pretty sharp, so keeping up with my mate's Caterham is not a problem.

The first night I gave it a thrash with its current mod list, I came across a 996 turbo on the motorway. He changed down gear in front of me and I stuck my foot down hard in 5th. He moved a car length ahead and that was it up to 130! The bloke was well suprised to say the least - pulled alongside and gave me the thumbs up, made it all worth it!
