2007 Toyota Pickup Pre Runner review from North America
"A good looking work horse"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuse for trailer lights blew but was my fault.
General comments?
This 2007 Tacoma Prerunner with the V6 and automatic is tough. Being in the boat business it has the power to tow, but low torque forces it to downshift even if it sees a small rise in the road way ahead.
The push button rear axel locking feature is great when your have a slippery boat ramp and the 110V ac feature in the trucks bed is great for using a battery charger or air compressor to help out a stranded motorist.
Visibility is good for trailering. The only thing I don't like about the tacoma is seat comfort. It may be okay for younger folks, but I dislike it so much I am looking for other seats to be installed. Making longer trips with these seats are out of the question because of fatigue. The best part of the Chevrolet Avalanche that I traded in was the seat and ride comfort. After having the Tacoma for 2 days I tried to get my Avalanche back. The Toyota seats are just that bad. Other than that it's a great truck that knows it's a truck.
