Main bearings failed at 65000 miles.
Blown head gasket and pitted valves at 83000 miles.
I chose this vehicle based on Toyota's reputation for quality.
The total cost of owning this vehicle has been abysmal.
You know just possibly the mileage may have not been on up and up. Just a thought. I never buy used from dealer. Bought 1994 Nissan XE 4x4 from friend I knew truck's history from
him. And it has paid off for me.
Yeah you guys watch the conmen out there, if they find a loophole, they just might roll back the odometer on you. Look at the vehicle, thoroughly. If you don't know autos, find someone who does. I asked the guy I bought my 1991 SR5 from, the same questions over & over, LMAO!!! He was getting fried, with me. But when I felt comfortable, I went ahead & bought it. It is a lot easier if it's the original owner, that's what I would always look for first.
When you ask how long they've had auto, many a con will say, they're selling it for their friend, brother, etc. More likely, they just bought it from an auction.
