1993 Toyota Pickup review from North America
"If you're looking for a quality used truck, this is the right one for you."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I haven't had to replace anything on the car yet. The previous owner put new front brake pads on at 68,000 miles.
General comments?
The model of my truck is a two-wheel drive extended cab.
It handles well on the road, but not on gravel. The back end seems to slip a lot. This problem was easily fixed by putting some weight in the back.
The acceleration is surprisingly good because it is so light and low geared.
I strongly recommend getting a instrument cluster that includes a tachometer. Because it's good to know when you're getting close to the max.
This truck is very forgiving on gas mileage. I get around 22 miles to the gallon. The last owner recorded the date and gallons put in the truck since 7,000 miles.
The interior isn't very big, but very well laid out. The back seat are OK for kids, but it's a tight squeeze for me and I'm 5'10.
The looks of this truck are perfect. The edges aren't too rounded or boxy.
