1989 Toyota Pickup DX review from North America
"Great economy and reliability all in one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
After 183,000 miles, the 22RE FINALLY gave up, which I understand is a bit premature. The rest of the drive train is perfect!
General comments?
For economy and reliability, Toyota is the best. So much so, that I could not afford not to replace the engine. With the new engine, it's like having a new pickup again.
As far as 4x4 pickups go, this thing is as close to my 1972 CJ5 as any pickup out there.
