1993 Toyota Pickup Extra Cab 4X4 review from North America
"An underpowered truck with good off road performance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced clutch at 103,000 miles
fuel lines rusted through and had to be replaced at 103,597 miles
replaced front brake pads at 104,211 miles.
Replaced spark plugs at 105,000 miles
replaced tires at 105,500
replaced timing belt and all drive belts at 106,300 miles
cooling fan shattered into a million pieces sending pieces through the radiator so I had to replace the cooling fan and the radiator.
General comments?
This truck is somewhat average overall. the suspension pounds over every bump in the road. the 3.0 V6 engine is extremely underpowered for the truck, the engine struggles to keep up with traffic in daily driving especially on the highway. don't even think about towing anything with these trucks. the gear ratios are very low too. at 75 mph I'm running 3500 RPM's in fifth gear. the only good thing about this truck is it has very good off road performance. It has a very good stnace with a lot of ground clearance and the suspension flexes well, I have yet to get stuck.
