1989 Toyota Pickup standard cab review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced the timing chain, followers, and timing cover at 124000 miles.
Replaced the fuel pump at 150000 miles.
Just put 4 new shocks on at 180000 miles.
No other major repairs to date other than wear items such as brakes, tires, oil changes, ect.
General comments?
I love this little truck. I drive 100 miles per day to, and from work and it has yet to leave me on the roadside.
I have used this truck to haul everything from gravel, to lumber, to scrap steel, and everything in between. It just keeps on going.
The lack of a 5 speed hurts the gas mileage a bit, but I still get 27-30 MPG on the highway.
