1997 Toyota Picnic GL review from UK and Ireland
"Superb 6 seater MPV"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Only the rear high brakelight bulb which cost pennies to replace.
Mechanically it is solid. As mine is now nearly ten years old and still does not burn any oil.
Engine feels thin and very metallic when pushed, but good performance for MPV (126bhp)
General comments?
Ensure (semi-synthetic) oil changes atleast every 6 months and it will give mega miles.
6 independent adult size seats with proper seatbelts.
Slightly rolls in corners if a bit too quick, but then it's an MPV not a sports.
Averages 30mpg. (Manual version)
Very nice in single tone silver. The air conditioning on mine has packed up not sure what the problem is as light continually flashes. Any advice would be great. (Does not require Aircon Gas recharge)
