1994 Toyota RAV4 Base review from UK and Ireland
"The original 4x4 that drives just like a GTI"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Almost faultless.
Only had to "refill with rubber" the rear differential mount.
General comments?
Reasonable fuel economy.
Underpowered at low RPMs, but plenty powerful above 3000rpm.
Handles exceptionally considering it's a 4x4.
Brilliant traction for country lanes.
Bullet proof construction, takes a hammering over very poor/rough surfaces.
Routine maintenance (oil and FORLIFE COOLANT is the only required).
Love the elevated driving position.
Very maneuverable, finger light power steering and a tight turn circle.
Every thing you've come to expect from a Japan built Toyota.
