1996 Toyota RAV4 4-door review from North America
"Typical Toyota reliability and features"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Absolutely nothing. I have never even been to the service department with this vehicle.
General comments?
The RAV4 gets great gas mileage (25mpg) and uses no consumables (original brakes, tires, and wiper blades). I have yet to perform any unscheduled maintenance and even the timing belt isn't due for a change until 100,000 miles. Unbelievable reliability considering the abuse I put it through.
The off-road prowess of the vehicle was an unexpected surprise and the seats have yet to leave me wanting.
I will buy another Toyota when this one gets tired, and until then, I will continue to whip this one. This little truck has lived up to its reputation and continues to shine every single day.
