"A costly, problematic minivan"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Inner tie rods replaced.

Rear brake drums replaced.

Pulling to the left.

Replaced tires at 17,500 miles.

Battery corrosion.

Stalling out twice.

Gasoline odor from the front of the van.

Failed speedometer.

Sticking door latches.

Leaking rear washer valve.

Vibrations above 50 MPH.

White smoke from exhaust on start up.

Excess heat in left front wheel well.

Increased idle speed intermittently.

Transmission shift hesitation.

Thumping sound when braking in reverse.

General comments?

The Sienna was *supposed* to be our 10+ year vehicle as two others have been. We are extremely disappointed with the reliability and quality of this van to date. Based on owner stories on the Complaint Station, Cartrackers Forums, and Edmund's Town Hall, we don't feel we have seen all the problems yet.

We are also concerned about Toyota's customer service based on owner stories. Apparently, many owners feel the warranty is not being honored in cases of sludge formation even when oil change receipts are provided. While many of our problems have been repaired, others go unresolved. We do not believe there is a permanent fix for the pulling problem.

My experience with Toyota after the sale has taken place has been pretty bad.

The salesman never even acknowledged that he had received the money wire transfer. I left him at least six messages. He just did not respond. Finally my bank had to confirm.

After this I tried to get a lojac installed. Again the salesman never called back with a quote. Finally I decided to go to another dealer. I was told that Toyota salesman do not make much money on the lojac sale.

Toyota had given me a coupon for a free oil change, I unfortunately decided to use it. After making me wait for two hours they told me I will have to come back next week.

Do you think I will ever go back to Hudson Toyota in New Jersey?

So I go to Hudson Toyota because they told me that they were one of the largest dealers in the Northeast. The only reason I went there was because of Carsdirect.

I knew it was bad when I got there 28 salesman on the floor. It look like a scene out of Waterworld where Scavengers worked.

Next thing you know their sales goes the car out there is 43,800 SR5 Sequoia make me an offer!

I said I'm sorry I'm not good at haggling give me your best price, cars direct gave me a good price already. I'm expecting the internet price. NO HOW MUCH YOU WOULD LIKE TO PAY, (I'm thinking in my head 0)

I said No just give me a good price, I'll decide at home. I hate dealers office, high pressure, I'm spending 30 grand to be pressured!. why not just go to Atlantic city king treatment no pressure, right.

She goes in the back to talk to her sales manager, the manager comes back and out right says "I don't think you can afford this car, I think your wasting my time." "Can you really afford this car?"

I said of course!

"Then sit down and make a deal" I didn't come to haggle, you got a price you want to give me that's fine but I'm not buying a car at one sitting. If I left the dealer and I felt cheated, I won't enjoy the car!

I said I can't afford the car, I'm leaving! Good bye if I can afford the car, I'm going to sit down, what you are nuts!

But he said what if I gave you that car for 35,000. So I said that's your offer?

I come home check it out, it's 3200 below invoice. I called the manager back and he won't give me the car!!

HIGH PRESSURE HUDSON TOYOTA. What a rip off.
