I bought a Toyota Sienna because I wanted a safe, reliable AWD that had good mileage. In my opinion, I got a vehicle that is dangerous to drive, gets horrible gas mileage, and is as about as reliable as a Yugo. I suppose the tires are called 'run flats' because they go flat at the sight of a nail in the road and because the low tire pressure sensor doesn't work with run flat tires (says my dealer) so one drives around with flat tires.
Wow! I thought I was the only one having problems with these tires. 11,000 miles and we already had to replace tires. And boy, are they expensive.
Yesterday it got even worse, my wife drove the car through a pothole that with any other car would not have mattered. With this car, both right side tires have to be replaced and both wheels!
Had we known about this tire issue we would never have purchased this car.
