"A two door Limousine with guts"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Front seats semi poor condition.

The T.V. capacitor has died.

A Welsh plug blew just 3 days ago.

There is a problem with the airconditioning motors clutch (It cannot be re-gassed).

General comments?

This is my second car after my Cressida. Luckily the mechanicals are so similar I have a car full of spare parts.

The airbag suspension was replaced with King springs before I got the car, I intend to put Airbag suspension back in when I have the money.

The turning circle is similar to that of a big Magna, however you learn to accomodate.

I deliver Pizza's in the Soarer (fun) and so have put it through hell. I has handled well, but the car's economy decrease more than an average 3.0litre engines with serious starting over and over again.

You need someone to translate the Japanese writing found along the buttons and on the T. V screen.

For all that it is an excellent car - more for the fact that I paid chicken feed for it. I would gladly take a pre-1991 model over younger models on looks alone. The car has strong lines in its styling. An uncommon car on the road always gets a good looking over.

The reason the ratings were only 8/10's is that my car hasn't been to well looked after before I got it. If asked after I have given it a good service I will probably give it 10/10 in most areas.

Great second or third car. Will have it for many years to come.

Also as it is non-turbo-ed at the moment, if you have a similar car put a pod filter on it and instal a bonnet scoop for better performance.

Great review, which I agree with 100% because I also own the same car!

Strangely had the same problems, ie the air con can't be re-gassed so have taken all the hardware out to save a bit of weight and the TV in the dash seems to work whenever it likes. That also applies to the LCD speedometer, which is very annoying. Other than that, I feel it is one of the best cars I've ever owned. There's just nothing else on the road that has the same character, so it definitely attracts attention.

All I want to do now is change the auto box for the 5 speed manual with a limited slip diff and then it will be even more fun to drive. If you want to see my Soarer project go to soarerproject.blogspot.com
