2002 Toyota Solara LX 6 cylindar from North America

Summary:

I would definately own another one when I'm not on the road so much

Faults:

We had to have the ignition assembly replaced at 85,000. There has always been difficulty getting the brake mounts removed. Some dash warning lights that won't go off.

General Comments:

Overall it's been an OK car. It is very well appointed and the controls are easy to use. It's definately more of a sports car than a comfort car! If you regularly make long trips it's not the car for you.

2002 Toyota Solara SE 2.4 VVTI 4 cylinder. from North America

Summary:

Although a little cramped inside, this car has been one of the best cars I've ever owned

Faults:

Oxygen sensor at 26k.

General Comments:

The car seems really spunky for a 4 cylinder car.

Great gas mileage, averages 29 in town, up to 39 hwy.

Cabin is a little cramped, but it's a coupe

Rides great, handles really well, rides tight and has virtually no rattles or squeaks.

Quiet, very dependable, and obviously well made.

2002 Toyota Solara SE 2.4 Liter from North America

Summary:

Good ride if steering would be more precise and centered

Faults:

Tires go bad every 25-35 thousand miles and pulls excessively to the left.

Struts have been replaced under warranty for knocking. Replaced struts with monroe struts seems to ride better, but still spongy steering.

General Comments:

For the most part engine and transmission are the best, but if tires have to be changed every 25-30 thousand miles, time for a new one.
