2005 Toyota Solara SLE review from North America
"I wouldn't buy another!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Quality/reliability of wheels, suspension, integrity of the car.
General comments?
I have owned the Solara SLE for only two months and was involved in a one person "accident" in the rain. I hit the curb at 15 MPH. Apparently the entire wheel, axle, and suspension collapsed. I have been quoted from $6,500 to $12,400 to repair the car. However the dealership will only give me $4,000 as trade-in value for a new one. The MSRP was $28,071. You do the math. Has anyone checked the most recent Consumers Reports estimate for the 2005 Solara's reliability? It stinks.
