1995 Toyota Supra Turbo review from North America
"Wonderful"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The clutch had to be replaced at 125k, along with a mount. I also had to replace a ball joint and a tail pipe, which is not that bad at that mileage. However you have to keep a close eye on your mechanic, because by mistake he can order a part for a regular Supra and not the Turbo.
There are also some scratches and dents on the outside, because of it being parked in busy parking lots, and the inside is a bit worn.
I did not have to replace all 4 tires until 100,000 miles. I did not have to replace the front brakes until 175k, and at 260k the original rear brakes are still in great shape, but I really don't think of this as something going wrong.
General comments?
This has been the best fast car I ever had. It's not as fast as a Corvette, but sure handles much better than a Corvette.
I get around 25-26mpg on high octane, which is what this car requires.
I took out the back seat a long time ago, and it would not do any good anyway because there is only very little passenger space in the back. This car is not designed for back seat passengers.
If you are looking for a perfect used and very fast Turbo Supra, you are better off looking in a dry state like Kansas.
