1987 Toyota Supra review from North America
"I will never sell this car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The head gasket went out and head was warped (repairable) at 112,000 miles, however this was my fault, driving in the red.
The AC compressor went out at 75,000, also I replaced the radiator, one power steering hose, the steering rack, front wheel bearings, a power window switch, and speedometer cable and that's it in 15 years and 202,000 miles.
General comments?
I am the original owner and did bolt on engine modifications to 315 horsepower at around 20,000 miles. Now at 202,000 miles this car has proven itself to be extremely reliable, also attributable to good maintenance and synthetic fluids throughout for the last 13 years.
It still has the original clutch and runs very strong.
