"A lethally awesome, gorgeous machine!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

In my experience practically nothing.

In all extremes of weather, I've had 100% start up every time.

General comments?

Had this car two years, and have enjoyed it tremendously.

Its beautiful to look at, especially from the rear with its awesome spoiler and high tech light cluster, and turns heads all the time, real street credibility and presence-remember the Fast & the Furious!!

Acceleration is amazing,0-60 in 5.1 seconds, and overtaking easy, though real agility slightly compromised when compared to somewhat smaller and lighter sports cars-not to be thrown around on slick roads!

Fuel economy-lets face it if you have to ask then you've picked the wrong car!

I'd recommend the turbo version, which engages with an awesome sound and roars up to high revs such that you're literally jolted back in your seat!

Equipment levels are standard for most of these, plenty of toys and gadgets as you'd expect, but factory stereo/ICE not much to write home about, personally I installed custom set-up, Alpine, Phoenix Gold etc.

Get real, get real power not kid stuff like a so called supra TT. A stock 2005 corvette wil blow a supra by far.

0-60 in 4 sec, and 186 mph top speed- w/o spending anymore money to make it faaaaassssst. You could make this cart faster to go over 200 mph easy. I used to be a supra owner spent 60k, but still can't catch up with strong v8s. I sold it and bought a viper. I blow all supras away- no competition. Sorry truth hurts. :)

You are an idiot with a little man syndrome, a supra is not a childs toy @ $60k you idiot! Why are all v8 owners so afraid of tuners? That's all they do is flame tuner owners. I will agree on 1 thing, 2005 vette is fast, but it took GM 50 years to get the hp any higher that 425, I have seen your comments on all of the tuner cars, maybe you can't afford the gas to drive the vette so you sit in front of youre computer instead!!! No offense- I'm an Engine designer and here are some facts: v8's are hard to beat because it has a bigger displacement. Technically supra is very limited comparing to what a v8 is capable of due to the Supra's very small cubic inch. Can't race a full race Supra with a full race v8- supra is no match- again, small cubic inch. If you want a strong motor and very durable- get engines that has big cubic inch- like the v8's. It has power on command and no turbo lag.

There is quite a bit of supra bashing going on here. To the people with the V-8s... You might want to tell your comments to some of the people with street legal supras with 1200+ HP at the ground. For the price of a new vette you could get a used TT supra and build it to compete with the newest vettes. Newer supras have a massive aftermarket allowing for a wide range of upgrades and different performance options. The supra looks far better as well. And anyways, I used to work for GM. I know how "well" the new vettes are built... I would never buy one even for a low price. If I was given one, I would probably sell it and buy a half way decent car. At the dealership we had a few vettes that would leak when they were in the rain or being washed. The new vette windows do not seal well at all. The reliability of the vette is also very poor for the price you wink into it as well. Someone bought up a viper. Yes, vipers are very well built cars with great preformance in my opinion. They have huge potential in the 500+ cubic inch motor. Also, there are a few companies that do a twin turbo conversion for the viper. At around 4-6 lbs of boost it has around 1200-1400 HP and almost as much torque, but, then again, for that price, so do the TT supras. The vette does not belong in a list with Supras and Vipers. Sorry to tell all you GM owners.

Ahh. Also, a few things I forgot to mention. To whoever said foreign companies only copy's American technology... This is quite false. The technologies of the two are far different. Over all, foreign companies have been quite a bit more advanced then American compinies. Anyone who knows much about cars at all will be able to say this if they are honest. For the person dodging foreign cars, the one who owns the viper... Sorry to tell you, but Dodge and Mitsubishi are partner companies. Viper is part import there guy, like it or not. American car companies partnered with foreign companies for a reason. For the person who says they design engines. You are either a blatant liar, or have never actually broke down a 93+ Supra engine. The Supra engine is very reliable and was built with the purpose of taking very high amounts of power. Many of the parts are carbon fiber or forged from the factory. The potential of the supra engine is quite high. It is able to produce the massive power of V8s and 10s and yet have high revs like a small 4 cylinder. The ability to handle large amounts of boost from a twin turbo or single large turbo makes it an extremely competitive car. Many people own supras with well over 900 horse power and can do well over 200 MPH. A stock TT supra will do just about 200 MPH with a few adjustments. I own an 88 supra. It is far less of a car then the newer ones and tops out at 157 MPH completely stock. That is pretty decent considering it is stock, non turbo, old, and running on a 4.11 final gear ratio. Well, I hope my info helps some of you people. Bye for now.

Supra owners bragggg too much... talk is cheap. Why don't you guys prove it at the "world street nationals". Remember your car have to be street legal or else you can't race. Any car can race over there, but no foreign car can ever compete over there because you'll be facing people that are hard, hardcore v8's fanatics. So race there first so you'll learn your lesson what a pumped up v8 is capable of- this will be a learning curb for you. Can your supra do a wheelie? If not, don't race there because you won't have a chance at all. Supra are for teens not pro... sorry truth hurts- no offense...:) Here's a way to see what's over there at the race- buy the video "world street nationals" so atleast you have an idea what kind of terror you'll be facing. I bet you- you won't have a chance over there!...hahaha!!! Sorry you're a fan of a so called sports car- supra. Too much turbo lag. So go ahead and buy the video! See you at the race! Remember the word "big block v8" means terror!

I have a four cylinder that will smoke your "Big Block v8s". V8's are nice engines, in fact I really like them, but v8s are not the greatest.

Again take your 4 cylinder to the "world street nations" first before you brag. But just a friendly reminder- you'll look like a fool over there. You must be very cheapthat's why you drive a wimpy 4 banger.

Supra = excellent car! I would love to see an american car (crap!!!) take ona supra on a track! Mmm... forgot. American cars aren't really capable of going round corners... big power, okay yeah, straight line they are impressive, but they scream like girls round a corner. Sorry, but on a track, they will be beaten by little hatchbacks!!

I guess you're a teen huh? Don't forget about corvettes and vipers! They outperform Supra tt's on any type of race- cornering or straight line. Supra tt has too much turbo lag that's why they can't keep up with v8's and v10's. Watch the videos where the supra TT race with the big boys- supra can't catch up- the engine has a very small displacement. Also, don't forget about the Ford GT- 205 mph and 3.5 sec to 60 -street stock! Supra? too weak! No offense, but imports are for teens not pro.

I thought this website was about vehicle reviews. When did the "my dad could beat up your dad" stuff come into play?

The Supra is a great car. It always has been and always will be.

Whats this rubish about america giving japan or teaching them technology tricks for their engine? their still in the cave man poeriod, with overhead single camshaft engines, instead of having twin cam variable valve timed effecient engines! just over 400 bhp from 5.7 or 6 litre V* is shameful! 5.0 L V8 had 400 bhp standard on M5 (Germans are the undisputed, technological leaders in engines) it will easily beat the standrad corvette. 5.0 L V10 in the new M5 has 507 bhp! choke on that! even the viper with it's 8.3 litre v10 can't push out that much power! and 1 more thing, the supra's engine is more technically advanced than a dozen corvette engines put together, live in lala land if you think the corvettes engine is more advanced! and it's far cheaper to tune a supra to equivellant if not more power than the vette, than it is tune the vette!

Raziel.

Look you guys, the supra is a near perfect engineered sports car for its time AND for our time now! I mean, comeon, my 71 trans am with 7.6L (455 cid) just breaks the 375 horse line, and a supra has 320 horse, and it only has 3 liters! An overhead valve V8 is an overhead valve V8. They are the same new or old. The ONLY differenece is the head design and other bolt on parts. If I buy a TT supra and spend the equivalent doing up the engine that you spent on your $100,000 Viper, the supra would have over 1000 horsepower! And V8's are incredibly heavy and totally throw out the weight ratio on a vehicle! A supra is much better balanced with the smaller engine. Yes, the OHV V8's can perform better in a straight line, true... but the supra sacrafices some straight line performance to increase the handling which makes it a much better car ALL AROUND. Especially for the price. And another note... take your pathetic corvette from 1993 and run it up against a 1993 supra and the supra would SMOKE the doors off that pathetic vette! Sorry pal! You're comparing your 425 HP vette to a supra that is over 12 years old! Face it, the supra was ahead of its time!

A stock 1993 corvette's top speed is 172 mph- supra TT is 150 mph. Go figure.
